Our root canals don’t cause pain – they relieve it!
When a cavity in the tooth creates an opening for bacteria to enter and multiply, the bacteria cause infections and form pockets or abscesses at the roots of the tooth. This causes severe pain and swelling that could spread to other areas of the head. Serious infections can also result in bone loss around the tip of the tooth’s roots.
When a tooth is painful, it may have become infected and require root canal treatment. Our root canal treatment is completed in just 2 visits. During the first visit we remove the infected tooth tissue, stopping the toothache. During the second visit we ensure that the root canals are well cleaned and sealed.
How do you ensure patients are not uncomfortable during the treatment?
When we carry out root canal treatment, we first anaesthetise the tooth fully to ensure that the treatment is comfortable and pain-free.
