What is a dental crown?
Our team uses the latest technology to create dental crowns that protect a weak tooth from breaking, or hold together segments of a cracked tooth. When a tooth is cracked or broken, a complete cover is required to protect the tooth from further fracturing.
A veneer, by contrast, only covers the outside surface of the tooth. Also known as a cap, a crown covers all of the tooth’s surface. When checked regularly by your dentist, our crowns can last between 8 to 15 years.
They are used to restore a damaged tooth, replace a large filling, hold a dental bridge in place, cover a dental implant, cover a badly shaped or severely discoloured tooth and protect a tooth after root canal treatment.
